One of the world's most prominent financial advisory and asset management firms requires a data and knowledge management specialist to join its growing knowledge management function in financial advisory. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Knowledge Management to support the global client facing banking teams, by improving their productivity and driving insights through better access and use of quality data. The candidate will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between data management, knowledge management, and AI/ML initiatives within the organization. This multifaceted position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to collect, organize, analyze, and share high-quality data and knowledge assets while ensuring integration of AI and machine learning capabilities.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Collect, organize, and analyze data from multiple sources to uncover insights
  • Develop and manage databases to ensure data is organized, accessible, and secure
  • Design and maintain data models, schemas, and taxonomies
  • Develop data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings
  • Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Implement data cleansing and transformation workflows to improve data quality
  • Develop and maintain data validation rules, business rules, and data enrichment processes
  • Automate data quality checks and monitoring to ensure ongoing data integrity
  • Collaborate with data owners and business users to define data quality requirements and standards
  • Establish content tagging and annotation guidelines to enable effective knowledge sharing
  • Oversee the tagging and annotation of various content types
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content is accurately and appropriately tagged
  • Implement processes to maintain the accuracy and relevance of tagged content over time
  • Work closely with various departments and stakeholders to identify knowledge needs and provide suitable solutions
  • Develop and maintain taxonomies, ontologies, and other knowledge structures
  • Implement and improve knowledge management systems and processes
  • Ensure knowledge assets are accessible, reusable, and aligned with organizational goals
  • Provide training and support to bankers on effective use of knowledge management tools
  • Track the success of knowledge management initiatives through monitoring usage of knowledge resources
  • Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to identify opportunities for AI/ML applications
  • Ensure data quality and knowledge management practices support the development of AI/ML models
  • Provide input on data annotation and labelling requirements for AI/ML training
  • Facilitate the integration of AI/ML outputs into business processes and knowledge management systems
  • Align data, knowledge, and AI strategies with the organization's business objectives
  • Leverage data insights and knowledge assets to enhance AI/ML model performance
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data-driven strategies and knowledge-sharing initiatives
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data, knowledge, and AI/ML management practices
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data, knowledge, and AI management
  • Provide recommendations for enhancing the organization's data, knowledge, and AI capabilities

To be considered for this role you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in information science, computer science, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data management, knowledge management, data governance, or a related field
  • Strong data analysis, modelling, and visualization skills
  • Understanding of knowledge management principles, tools, and techniques
  • Understanding of taxonomy and ontology design
  • Expertise in data quality management, including data cleansing and enrichment
  • Excellent content tagging and annotation skills
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their integration with data and knowledge management
  • Familiarity with data management tools and technologies, such as databases, ETL tools, and data visualization software
  • Knowledge of knowledge management platforms and content management systems
  • Detailed knowledge and experience with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint and ability to create reports and dashboards using Power BI).
  • Basic understanding of Python desirable.
