Data Strategy Lead 

We are recruiting for an ambitious Financial Services data provider known for providing investment intelligence to the alternative asset management industry. With a global presence and a focus on innovative data solutions, they are looking for a dynamic Data Strategy Lead to advance their data-driven strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy to drive product improvements and innovation.
• Collaborate closely with Product Strategy and Product Owners to ensure alignment with the product data strategy, including preparation of relevant documentation.
• Define and monitor data coverage, quality, and timeliness KPIs for various data sets.
• Work alongside Data Operations to prioritize and support incoming data initiatives.
• Identify and assess new data sources and technologies to enhance the data offering.
• Act as a liaison between Data, Product, and Technology teams to ensure coordinated efforts towards common goals.
• Collaborate with data science teams to explore new data points and insights.
• Ensure the integrity, privacy, and compliance of data with relevant regulations.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, serving as a champion for product data initiatives.
• Initially serve as a hands-on contributor with potential to guide a small team of data experts.

Qualifications:

• Subject matter expert in alternative assets, particularly in private markets.
• Prior experience in a senior role within data or product management.
• Strong strategic and analytical thinking capabilities, with a strong commercial focus.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills for conveying complex concepts effectively.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Solid understanding of data analytics techniques and tools.
• Experience in database querying and data modeling is desirable.
• If you have also worked on the client side in a research or related role it would be highly beneficial.
