Intranet Analyst - SharePoint / Law - London or Birmingham

A global law firm is seeking an experienced Intranet / SharePoint Analyst with a focus on content management. The role is a fixed term contract of 6 months and can be based out of either London or Birmingham. The primary objectives in the role are content focused and the position centres on the provision of support, maintenance and continued development. Internally, there are a number of key stakeholder relationships to manage including around 500 internal content publishers. The platform is SharePoint Online, but the position may also provide some support on other collaboration tools.

In this Intranet Analyst role, the core responsibilities are as follows:

  • Supporting intranet content development and maintenance across the firm
  • Managing daily intranet support requests
  • Ensuring effective content ownership and maintenance and the provision of guidance to content owners and editors
  • Monitoring and promotion of content management best practice
  • Reporting and monitoring intranet usage and the identification of notable trends
  • Assisting users and stakeholder with troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Continued development of training materials and user guides
  • Seeking out opportunities for the continuous improvement of the firms intranet offering

To be a suitable candidate for this Intranet Analyst role, the following is required:

  • A high level understanding of intranet and SharePoint from a content and information governance perspective
  • Previous experience in the support, management and development of intranets within a complex corporate environment
  • A strong knowledge of classification, taxonomies and information architecture, ideally underpinned by an information qualification
  • Highly developed stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • The ability to work within a project environment and to manage conflicting priorities
