Knowledge Management Analyst – Consulting – Tampa, Chicago, Dallas or Houston

A global consulting firm has a requirement for an Analyst to join their Knowledge Management team and be based out of one of their US sites. This role will have dual responsibility for engaging with business units to define KM requirements and also play a key role in delivering on  solutions and assisting in associated projects. This role represents an opportunity to join KM function that is in relative infancy and expanding within the firm. This is a role that would be suited to someone that has some similar experience in a library or research setting and is motivated by the opportunity to work in a Knowledge Management specific role.

The primary objectives and responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to:


•    Working closely with Knowledge Managers to help create and set up new knowledge management processes and tools that match the goals of different business units. 
•    Connecting with teams and leaders across the company to learn what they need and find ways to expand knowledge management services to more areas.
•    Build strong relationships and act as a point of contact between business units and the knowledge management team. 
•    Share useful knowledge and best practices with the team to promote a KM culture at regional and firm-wide level.
•    Help understand the needs and experiences of business units to make sure knowledge management services remain relevant. 
•    Work with other departments to support business goals, and stay updated on the latest trends in knowledge management. 
•    Assist in applying these best practices to enhance KM services and ensure they are successful.

To be suitable for this Knowledge Management Analyst role, the following is required:

•    A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related area such as Library Science
•    An understanding of Knowledge Management within the context of a large organization. This might be gained from the library or research function of a large organization.
•    Some experience in KM related tools such as collaboration tools, content management systems or intranets
•    The ability to organize, structure and categorize information and metadata
•    Strong interpersonal, stakeholder or customer engagement skills
•    Experience with Microsoft 365 and preferably SharePoint would be extremely advantageous
